rimpelingen | wrinkles 2010

here i'm going to show you some photos of porcelain work i made in 2010 for my master graduation in which i combined my passion for ceramics and nature; everyday objects showing the beauty of imperfection.

for his dutch vegetal design graduation project, young dutch designer Bart van Didden designed a second series of flower related objects in porcelain under the heading 'rimpelingen | wrinkles'; he based himself on the japanese world view, wabi sabi, for this, which shows the beauty of everyday objects with small imperfections, and the impermanence and transience of nature... the purity, details and true identity of nature are retained and are laid down permanently in white, virgin simplicity; no disguise, completely natural.
